Lauren is the Executive Director of the organization and is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the organization. She also makes public presentations advancing the cause of the organization and coordinates with stakeholders in government, utilities, and other nonprofits. She brings to the organization more than 10 years’ experience in communications, marketing, and public relations for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Before coming to EEBC, Lauren was a communications and marketing consultant for government agencies and companies based in Colorado, California, and Oklahoma. Projects included strategic marketing and communications planning for energy, water, and waste reduction campaigns. Prior to working as a consultant, she worked as a professional writer for national magazines and as a Communications Specialist for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where she wrote extensively about energy efficiency and renewable energy for NREL and the U.S. Department of Energy. She also participated in public affairs events and assisted clients with public relations materials and planning. In the past, she was Communications Chair for the U.S. Green Building Council's Colorado Metropolitan Branch. She has a Masters’ in Business Administration in Sustainable Business from Marylhurst University in Oregon and a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from the University of New Mexico.

Mark’s practice involves matters related to water, energy and electricity, transactions, corporations and real property. His experience in Colorado Water Courts includes adjudication of tributary and nontributary water rights and plans for augmentation, changes of water rights and exchanges.  His regulatory experience before the Colorado Public Utilities Commission includes electric resource planning, CPCN proceedings, transmission, ratemaking proceedings, energy efficiency dockets and rulemakings. Mark also practices before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in matters related to transmission and to hydropower development. Mark's practice involves regulatory matters, litigation, legislative and policy work, as well as transactions, corporate matters, public land law, real estate/easement related legal issues and transactions, as well as energy and energy efficiency project development. Mark represents developers of natural gas projects, renewable energy projects, governmental entities, private and non-profit corporations, as well as individuals.

Originally from New York, Mr. Detsky is a 2003 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law and a 1997 graduate of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. In 2004, he was staff attorney for the Amendment 37 campaign, which resulted in the first popular vote on passage of a renewable energy standard in the United States. Mark has published articles on geothermal law, changes of water rights, ditch company easements as well as wind and solar energy. Mark also published a novel, entitled As Fast As It Is Gone, in 2007.

Connie is an award winning graphic designer with extensive corporate and nonprofit design experience in print, web, and package design. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, and an AAS in Business Marketing, and Related Support Services.

Forrest Dickinson

Forrest Dickinson is a student of the University of Colorado Boulder working to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis on Climate and Energy. In addition, Forrest is in the process of receiving an energy certificate through the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute (RASEI).
