About Rob Writz, Director of New Ventures for CleanLaunch In this role Rob works directly with the CleanLaunch clients, advisors, and investors to successfully meet the milestones needed to help these nascent ventures focus on first customers, secure financial capital, and grow into successful businesses.
Rob formerly lead the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programs of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory that support clean energy startups by providing technology assistance, fostering access to financial capital, and relationship development with the entrepreneurial community. He was the Chair of the NREL Industry Growth Forum, a national platform for connecting cleantech startups to risk capital, with nearly $4 billion of growth capital invested in presenting startups. He also launched the NREL Commercialization Assistance Program that provides technology assistance and commercialization services to clean energy and energy efficiency small businesses.
Rob earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont, and a Master of Business Administration from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
