Accreditation:
Upon successful completion and passing the IGSHPA installer's exam offered at the conclusion of the workshop, attendees will be issued an IGSHPA/NATE certificate and accreditation as an installer of ground source heat pump systems. The workshop fee includes membership with IGSHPA and NATE.  Builders, architects, and engineers will leverage this accreditation to enhance their professional resume of qualifications.  This course covers the basic concepts needed to successfully complete the Colorado Department of Water Resources (DWR) testing requirements for licensing and permitting. Architects can self report Learning Units (LU) through the AIA CES Discovery System. The workshop qualifies for ASHRAE Continuing Education (ACE) credits with Renewal Certification.

This three day comprehensive Installation Workshop is designed for GSHP developers, architects, manufacturers, distributors, dealers, installers, HVAC contractors, trenching/drilling contractors, and anyone who desires a working knowledge of this innovative technology. Representatives from public utilities, private utilities, and rural electric cooperatives can also benefit from this training.

Fees include course materials, testing fees, and continental breakfasts. Students, EEBC and COGEHPA members receive a $75 discount.

Course Hours
8am – 5pm, with 1 hour lunch break.  The full tuition fee will be refunded if the registration is cancelled at least fourteen (14) days prior to the first day of the confirmed workshop. The full fee will be charged if a registrant does not cancel the registration within this timeframe. Another individual may be substituted for a paid registrant.

Instructor
Albert Wallace has over 14 years designing and installing geothermal and hydronic systems for comfort and energy efficiency. Al is an IGSHPA-certified trainer, Certified GeoExchange Designer and Certified Energy Manager by the Association of Energy Engineers. He is a member of ASHRAE and associate member of the AIA. His Statement of Qualifications is available from the Registrar.
